*DISCOUNTS* are available when you purchase two or more goats. Goats are discounted for ADGA youth members and local youth who will be showing at fairs, club shows, and ADGA sanctioned shows.
Contact me if you would like to be on a waiting list for kids from a specific doe or breeding pair. It's free. I keep a running list and update it regularly. You can email me at [email protected] or text me on my cell phone 360.912.4667. My phone ringer volume is almost always off because I am a silence lover. Please text me and tell me to call you and I am happy to get a hold of you at your convenience.
If you join a wait list, I will contact you as the kidding date approaches to see if you are still interested in making a purchase. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a goat (per goat.) The remainder of the balance will be due prior to or upon pick up/transport. There is an exception:
If you have horned goats and would like us to leave a goat's horns on for you, we are happy to do that, but in that scenario, I will need you to pay for your kid in full before disbudding day. If a customer were to back out of a sale where we had left a goat's horns intact, it would be very difficult for me to find that goat a new home in a horned herd.
Once you've put a deposit on a kid, I will have questions about your preferences. The does and bucks have their blood drawn about 6 weeks prior to the start of breeding season each year. We test for CL, CAE, and Johnes on each goat living on our property who is over 9 months old. I'm happy to have Ben email (forward) you the lab test results for the whole herd. If you need additional disease testing done for diseases such as Brucellosis, Q fever, TB - it will need to be done at your expense. Fortunately, Ben is amazing at drawing blood and we have a centrifuge to spin blood samples, which makes testing cheaper. You would just need to pay the shipping and lab fee if no Vet visit is required. If you need a Vet visit and CVI performed (some states do), we have a mobile veterinarian for our livestock. We are happy to facilitate it, but it will need to be done at your (the buyer's) expense.
We typically vaccinate our expectant does with CD&T 5 to 6 weeks prior to their kidding date. They also receive a half of a dose of BoSe serum about 2 to 3 weeks prior to their due date. If you prefer that we NOT vaccinate your goat kid with CD&T after he or she has left the womb, we can accommodate that request.
We keep bucks intact by request or because I have a need for a specific buck for our Narnia Goat Farm's breeding program. Otherwise, they are automatically banded at 7 to 8 weeks old so that they don't become stinky horny pests or impregnate any doelings in the herd. We think that wether boys make the very best natured and fun-loving pets. Keeping them intact limits their options and the amount that they will get cuddles and good scratchies in their life. We pull hair on all registered bucklings and have them sire verified and their DNA and milk casein type put on file with the American Dairy Goat Association.
When I think of more to say I will type it <HERE> The website is a work in a progress.
